Treatments
Consistent dental care and prevention enables us to help you protect your teeth in the best possible way. Being a member of our dental care plan is an effective and affordable way of managing your long term dental and oral health.
Below are a few options that can be considered when protecting or enhancing your natural smile.
Non-metallic fillings
Natural-coloured fillings – unsightly metal fillings can be replaced by natural-coloured fillings to improve the look of your smile.
Crowns
When a tooth is badly broken or heavily filled, the dentist may need to crown or ‘cap’ it to restore its appearance and strength.
Bridges
A partial denture is the simplest way of replacing missing teeth. However, some people find dentures uncomfortable and eventually decide to have a bridge made. Bridges are ideal for people who don’t like dentures or only have one or two teeth missing. Conventional bridges are made by crowning the teeth on either side of the gap and attaching a false tooth in the middle. They are fixed in the same way as crowns. These bridges are usually made of precious metal bonded to porcelain. Sometimes other non-precious metals are used in the base for strength.
Veneers
Veneers are an ideal way of treating discoloured or unsightly teeth, closing gaps between front teeth, or repairing chips and cracks.
Dental implants
Dental implants are a fantastic way of replacing one or more missing teeth. They are strong and permanent, which look and feel completely great. The implants themselves are tiny titanium metal rods which are gently placed into your jawbone. Over a few months your jawbone bonds with the rods to form, in effect, a false tooth root. So if you are looking to restore your ability to smile, speak and eat with confidence and comfort, then dental implants are a worthwhile option to consider.
Our hygienists
As a practice dedicated to prevention, we have highly qualified hygienists who are able to professionally clean your teeth and show you the best way to keep them free of plaque. They are also available to give you advice on diet and prevention of decay.
Our gentle touch
We believe that the best treatment for an anxious patient is kindness and consideration. At Promenade Dental we take great care to ensure a relaxing environment for all our patients, however, some patients may need a little extra help. We are able to offer our gentle touch of sedation for those patients who feel anxious of a dental visit. Please call us to discuss your needs further.
Tooth whitening
If your teeth have become discoloured over time, there are now ways to reverse this effect. At Promenade Dental, we offer affordable methods to lighten your teeth without removing any of the tooth surface. Please speak to us for more information.
